This page will provide you with all the up to date information regarding the 2020 Club Championships. Last year was the first time we had run the event and this year we hope to build on the success of 2019 and make it bigger and better with more gymnasts participating and enjoying the event.

From the A3:

Take the A283 exit towards Milford/Petworth/Haslemere.

Continue on the Guildford Road A283.

Turn left onto Cherry Tree Road A283.

At Cherry Tree Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Petworth Road A283.

Turn Left onto Rake Lane

About the event:

The Club Championships provides the perfect opportunity for us to bring our 4 academy venues together for a fun event, where all gymnasts get the chance to showcase their skills in front of the parents. It will be run in a competition format, however it will be a friendly event with every participant receiving a medal at the end. It will allow the gymnasts to experience a competition environment without the fear or pressure of being judged. The Club Championships is open to all of our members, however we have a maximum capacity of 400 with places being offered on a first come first served basis. If you wish for your child to take part please complete the registration form as soon as possible.

What will the gymnasts do?

The gymnasts are now in the process of practising routines in preparation for the championships. They will compete the following:

A Floor Routine
2 x Vaults
2 x Trampette Jumps

Every gymnast that participates will receive a medal at the end for their participation in the event.

Costs

Gymnast Entry (per child): £10

Spectator (per seat per round): £3.50

Spectator (Under 5 years): Free if sitting on a parents lap

Club Champs T-Shirt: £8

Registration Form

Rounds:

Throughout the day there will be 4 rounds and you will only be required to be there for the round that your child is participating in. The first 3 rounds will be split evenly once the registration closes, with the youngest gymnasts in the 1st round, through to the oldest gymnasts in the 3rd round. Round 4 will be for our 2 hour classes from each venue. As soon as the registration closes we will organise the rounds and notify you as soon as possible which round your child will be in.

For your reference these are the times of each round:

Round 1:

Registration: 9.15am

Round Ends: 11am

Round 2:

Registration: 11.15am

Round Ends: 1pm

Round 3:

Registration: 1.15pm

Round Ends: 3pm

Round 4:

Registration: 3.15pm

Round Ends: 5pm

To purchase a Club Champs 2020 Souvenir T-Shirt select the size you require on the registration form when you register your child.

If you did not order a T-Shirt when you registered your child, however wish to purchase one, simply email office@excelgym.co.uk and we will add a T-Shirt to your registration. You will need to include your child’s name and the size that you wish to order in the email.

You will not be able to order a T-Shirt after we have closed the registration as we will be placing the order with our supplier straight after. Therefore the final day to order a T-Shirt is Friday 27th March.

RAFFLE FOR AIRTRACK

The raffle prize at this years club champs is a 3m Home Elite AirTrack donated by AirTumble. This AirTrack is designed specifically for home use with the quality of a club range track and gives young gymnasts the chance to practice skills at home.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHS

DE Photos, who are the photographers for many gymnastic events across the UK, will be taking photos of all the gymnasts throughout the day at our Club Champs. These fantastic photos will be available for you to view and purchase on the day as they print them on site.

You will receive an email confirming which set routine your child has been practising for the club champs. So that you can help them learn the routine at home you can find a copy in written form below as well as view a video of the full routine:
