The government has finally given the green light for gymnastics clubs to open their doors again from Saturday 25th July under COVID-19 guidelines regarding social distancing measures.  This is a positive step forwards, however due to the restrictions in place and the lasting damage caused by the pandemic, we have had to make some tough decisions and regrettably certain classes will not be returning.  See below the confirmed updates:

2nd Sept: Classes Resume

From the 2nd September 2020, term time classes will resume at Amesbury School in Hindhead from Wednesday through to Saturday each week and at Salesian 6th Form College in Chertsey on Saturdays.  We are no longer running classes in Bisley and we have stopped classes at Woolmer Hill for the foreseeable future.  Visit the venue pages for up to date information.

10th Aug:  Venues in September

From September 2020 we will only be operating classes from Amesbury School in Hindhead and Salesian School in Chertsey.  We will no longer be running classes in Bisley and we have stopped classes at Woolmer Hill for the foreseeable future.  Visit the venue pages for up to date information.

23rd July:  Holiday Camps Announced in Hindhead

We have just received positive news from Amesbury School to restart gymnastics sessions over the summer under the COVID-19 guidelines.  We will be operating 2 weeks of holiday camps in August and then working on a restart plan for classes in September. For information on the holiday camps visit the holiday camps page of the website (This page is currently unavailable but will be live later today when we open the booking).

17th July:  4 Weeks of Trial Sessions at Chertsey Venue

We are delighted to be opening our gym doors again in Chertsey on Saturday 25th July.  We are running a 4 week program to trial the classes under the current COVID-19 guidelines.  This is a very positive step forward and will provide us with far more clarity on how we operate our normal classes in September.

22nd June:  Bisley Venue Closure

Unfortunately as a result of the damage caused by COVID-19, we regret to announce that we have been forced to make the difficult decision to permanently close our Bisley Venue.

A warm welcome to Excel Gymnastics Academy

Excel Gymnastics Academy offer recreational gymnastics classes for children aged 4 – 16 years.

We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to participate in the sport of gymnastics. It creates the perfect foundations for a child, helping improve their core stability, strength, flexibility and balance on a variety of exciting pieces of apparatus. Through learning new skills, gymnastics is the ideal activity to build confidence and self esteem while conquering many new challenges.

We provide a fun and friendly environment where children can safely learn to master the technique of core gymnastic skills. We aim to challenge each individual at their own pace to ensure everyone continues to develop and enjoy their time with us at Excel. All of our classes are taught by fully trained coaches, who have completed Safeguarding training and have a valid Enhanced DBS.

We currently have two venues in Surrey; Amesbury School in Hindhead and Salesian School in Chertsey. Select your chosen venue to find out further information regarding times and prices and to register your child.
